Working Hard Doesn't Mean Working 24/7 -- Write RightI work hard. However, I differentiate working hard from working 24/7. I’m prone to the latter; it’s easy for me to work and incredibly difficult to rest. I have to exercise great care and self-discipline so that I don’t fall into workaholism.

When work is an expression of love for God and others, I don’t worry about the work-life balance. I am balanced. I don’t get pulled into workaholicism. I don’t set standards of perfection. I aim for something else entirely: glorifying God and blessing others.

Work Hard to Play Hard

Work hard and play hard.When I was a kid, I worked hard to play hard. It was a byproduct of being homeschooled. I learned that I could complete all my work in three or four hours and be free to do as I pleased the rest of the day, which sometimes meant bike rides, extra trips to the library, or a continuation of whatever story I was directing on the set of my bedroom floor.
