Thus, it begins. A new year. Some people dread it already. Some make resolutions for it. Others feel hopeful about the new year.
I’m not sure where I fall in that spectrum. I don’t make resolutions, but I do feel resolute about some of the things I plan to accomplish this year. Perhaps I’m cautiously optimistic. Maybe I fall in the “hope for the best, prepare for the worst” category.
Some of the things I have planned will involve pursuing work a little harder. It will mean being a little more upfront on the blog about what I do and what I seek (cough, cough, copywriting, editing, and speaking). Some of the things will be labors of love. I have ideas – oh, how I have ideas – that need to be developed. Some of them can be created now, but they will require start-up funds to make them realities. Others simply are for the enjoyment of e-letter subscribers. Some of the things already are in motion and will be revealed in the next few weeks.
Yes, it’s a new year. Are you ready for it?
